Dr. Andrea Rivas Dreyfuss is the Ultrasound Fellowship Director and faculty for the Emergency Department at the Hennepin County Medical Center, and serves as ACEP Ambassador to Peru. Her international work is focused throughout Latin America, where she created the first emergency medicine ultrasound fellowship in her native country of Peru. Her scholarly work includes publications on triage systems in low-resource settings, ultrasound-guided procedures and international emergency education. Dr. Dreyfuss received her MD from Stanford School of Medicine, an MPH from the University of California at Berkeley and did her residency and ultrasound fellowship at Highland Hospital in Oakland, California.

Dr. David Martin is the Global Health Ultrasound Director and faculty for the Emergency Department at Highland Hospital and serves as the ACEP Deputy Ambassador to Peru and Mexico. His scholarly and international work focus on ultrasound education in Latin America where he recently helped establish the first point-of-care ultrasound fellowship in Lima, Peru. Dr. Martin graduated from Columbia University and completed his residency and ultrasound fellowship at Highland Hospital.

After starting the POCUS fellowship at Brown University, Dr. Nagdev came back to Highland General Hospital to run the POCUS division for the past 15 years. Along with publishing more than 80 peer reviewed journals and 15 book chapters on POCUS, Dr. Nagdev was the past President of the Ultrasound Section of American College of Emergency Physicians(ACEP). He has taught ultrasound both nationally and internationally for the past 20 years.

ARUN NAGDEV, MD

Dr. Jacqueline Huancollo is one of our most recent graduates from our training program who has assumed the role of site director at her public, safety-net hospital in Lima, Peru. She was instrumental in setting up a COVID-19 triage protocol using point-of-care ultrasound to differentiate patients presenting with symptoms consistent with COVID-19 during the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. She is recognized by her peers as an expert educator.

JACQUELINE HUANCOLLO, MD

Dr. Robert Inga was one of the first graduates from our point-of-care ultrasound training program in Lima, Peru. Since graduating from the program, Dr. Inga has assumed the role of site director for the ongoing training of future physicians at his public, safety-net hospital in Lima, Peru. Additionally, he has been invited to lecture on the use of point-of-care ultrasound at multiple national and international lectures.
